A little more about Phil Richards and Verulam in the Morning

Phil, who's full name is Phil Richards Wall, presents and keeps you company in the morning with the show 'Verulam in the Morning' which runs 8am - 12pm on weekdays.

Along with these regular morning shows, he is the Radio Verulam Station Manager looking after programmes and the day to day running of the station along with the Radio Verulam team. Phil has a well established career in the industry - he spent many years working for the BBC on both BBC Radio Bedfordshire & Three Counties Radio. Phil also presented 'Talkback' (weekday mornings) during the 90's on Radio Harmony in Coventry. He then went on to present on Mercury FM, Classic Hits 96.6 and Oasis Radio in St Albans. Phil also presents during the weekend, he is a Director of the station and is also Head of Sales Production. His favourite quote is: 'Its not true I had nothing on, I had the radio on' (Marilyn Monroe).

As regards the show itself, between 8am and 9am there are regular features such as Classic Comedy Drop-Ins, a look at the morning papers, local headlines from the Review online, This Day In History, Breaking News and local What's Ons. There are also several live topical and local interviews including some regular guests including The Mayor's Message. After 9.30am you can find occasional features like Live Wire which is a feature in which pop stars from the past and present up are featured. David Pearson also reports on local topical matters and is often in the studio to have a chat with Phil. Tune in! 92.6FM.
