Interview with Vicky Pulumbo from Herts Society for the Blind
Herts Society for the Blind is an independent local registered charity providing services and information to blind and partially sighted people throughout Hertfordshire, as well as to their families, carers and any organisations with an interest or involvement in people with a visual impairment. An integral part of the Society's work is helping blind and partially sighted people (and increasingly deaf/blind people) to retain independence by providing help and advice on daily living, finding volunteers for those who require them and signposting them to other sources of help and services. Through a range of direct and indirect services, Hertfordshire Society for the Blind has the mission to serve the County's estimated population of 17,000 people with severe and permanent sight loss. For more information about this charity, check out www.hertsblind.com.
